THE LOCATION: History
For anyone who knows Valletta fairly well this apartment block is at the entrance to the city as you walk from the central water fountain and the bus station. It is on the left and opposite the relatively new, parliament building.

THE DRAWING: Artist’s Note
The building just attracted me as I felt it exemplified the architecture of the older buildings within the city of Valletta with their Juliet style balconies. I did much of the drawing work at the location, mostly pencil work, and completed it at my gallery / workshop located in nearby Birgu (Vittoriosa). Total drawing time was about 80 hours.
